Student Housing
Purpose-built MEP solutions for the next generation of student housing.
Student housing is an emerging sector of focus for the next decade, with growing demand for efficient, durable, and cost-conscious building systems. Our team develops practical MEP strategies that balance capital cost, operating performance, occupant comfort, and long-term reliability.

Our experience includes high-rise and mid-rise student housing, residence buildings, mixed-use developments, central plants, heat pump systems, and district energy connections. We focus on durable, efficient systems that can withstand intensive use while remaining practical to operate and maintain over the long term.
As this sector continues to grow, new technologies such as cost-effective packaged terminal heat pump systems are creating opportunities to simplify building systems, reduce capital cost, and improve energy performance. Our team evaluates these technologies alongside more traditional solutions to determine the best fit for each project.
Energy and performance requirements can lead to a wide range of MEP approaches, not all of which are equally effective from a capital or operating cost perspective. By working closely with developers, institutions, and energy modelers, we are able to identify solutions that balance compliance, efficiency, constructability, and long-term operating value.
Much of this research and system evaluation has already been completed through active projects, allowing our team to move quickly through system selection and design development, reduce redesign, and support a faster and more coordinated approvals process.
